To step into someone else's shoes and fully appreciate their lived experience is the quickest way to open our hearts and minds to those around us. Our guest today, Hollis Owens, founded a nonprofit on this very principle, called To Be Like Me. This innovative organization organizes disability awareness programs intended to break down barriers and foster compassion through interactive experiences with a focus on awareness of different abilities. Through these experiences, participants learn about disabilities specifically, and empathy as a whole.
