It's been a fairly rough few days for everyone involved in Leitrim GAA, this week County Board secretary Declan Bohan drops into the show to discuss the aftermath of the defeat to Mayo on Sunday and outline the roadmap ahead to a brighter day for the green and gold.Looking back on the events in MacHale Park on Sunday, Aidan Rooney shares with his co-host Breifne Earley his thoughts on the demoralising defeat focusing on the predictability of the outcome ahead of the fixture and the apathy that's growing across the country towards the provincial and All Ireland Championships outside of a small number of competitive counties. Declan outlines the next steps in the recovery as they prepare to analyse the fallout of their semi final loss and establish the next steps ahead for the county and the personnel, both on and off the pitch, involved in the county teams.Aidan and Breifne take a look back at the club fixtures played over the weekend and take one eye forwards towards the club championships which start this week with the draw for the group stages of the Senior &amp; Intermediate competition taking place on Thursday evening.

We'll be looking at the action across the county with Gaelic Games dominating the calendar for the coming few days, we'll be joined by the voice of Leitrim football, John Lynch, to help us go through the upcoming fixtures as well as get an insight into his career and times covering Leitrim since the mid to late 1990's.  This weekend's show got turned on it's head last minute with the announcement this morning that all knockout stages of the Leitrim GAA Senior, Intermediate and Junior championships will be played behind closed doors in two weeks time.   The Secretary of Leitrim GAA, Declan Bohan (1:00), joins us to discuss the reasoning and public health concerns behind the decision and exactly what that means for clubs, players, familes and supporters when that kicks in for two weeks time.   Declan also confirms the single game price for the livestreaming coverage of as many of those games as possible will be set at €7 with discounted multi game options to be offered when details are confirmed in the coming days.  In soccer (12:00) we take a look at the national league fixtures featuring Leitrim players as Niall Morahan and Dearbhaile Beirne are back in action this weekend with both Sligo Rovers and Peamount United making the journey to Cork to face Cork City tonight and tomorrow afternoon respectively.  The unmistakable voice of John Lynch (15:16) shares a few stories with us about how he first got involved in radio broadcasting in school and how he found his way to becoming Head of Sport at Shannonside FM and his life working with Ocean FM, RTE &amp; Eir Sport.  He also gives us his impression of the new live streaming service from Leitrim GAA which he's lending his voice to at the moment. He's been impressed with the quality of the service and the reaction he's had has been excellent. He's been loving the covid enforced return to the local roots of the GAA with the club taking centre stage this year.  He also puts his head on the block with predictions of the clashes this weekend in the Connacht Gold Senior Football Championship (30:34), Smith Monumentals Intermediate Football Championship (42:18) and Vistamed Junior Football Championship (53:12).  We also run through the fixtures in the Ladies Football (54:10) scene in the county with some bigs games in the Intermediate and Junior grades this weekend.

This week is more about what happens off the pitch and in the boardroom around the county with both conventions of Leitrim GAA and Leitrim Ladies GFA taking place on Sunday afternoon.  An afternoon pouring over financial figures from both meetings and discussing the activities of the last twelve months proved to be a very positive experience with some phenomenal achievements recorded in football, hurling and ladies football over the season.  We speak to newly elected Chairman Enda Stenson about the positive environment on and off the pitch which he inherits from outgoing Chairman Terence Boyle and Declan Bohan, the returning County Secretary who steps back into the role he vacated a decade ago.  On the ladies side of the house Aidan Heron talks about his re-election as chairperson of the organisation. Their successful season on the pitch despite having only returned to adult football and the success of their fundraising efforts which have given them a nice platform to build from in 2020.  We also have a look at the on field results where Sligo Rugby secured another All Ireland League victory against Ballina, Carrick Rugby kept in touch with the table toppers with a 5 point victory against Ballyhaunis.  Manorhamilton Rangers were the big winners of the weekend with a ten goal haul in a 10-2 win over Glenview Stars, Robbie Cunningham with four of those goals. Carrick may have hit the net three times against Ballygawley Celtic but their clean sheet run was broken by conceding four times to lose by a single goal in their league game.
