Are you still excited to play?”    This conversation is with César Meylan (@MeylanCesar), Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Canadian Sports Institute Pacific, and Head of Sports Science for Woman’s Football in Canada. César has been on staff for the Canadian Woman’s team since 2011, helping guide them to bronze medal results at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. César graduated from AUT University in 2013 with a PhD in Strength and Conditioning that focused on long-term strength and power development in young athletes, publishing numerous peer-reviewed articles in the process. In this episode, we discuss César’s early years growing up in Switzerland, his time spent studying in NZ, the future of football in Canada, developing the athleticism of   young players, and much more.
