Adriana will share highlights from their study, “Cultivating the Cannabis Market,” which reveals that 39% of US adults--82 million people—are regular cannabis users! And, as promised in the interview, following is Alice B. Toklas’ recipe for “Haschich Fudge” from her 1954 cookbook. These are more like fruit and nut bars, which makes us think that if Christmas Fruit Cake was made with this recipe, it would be a LOT more popular! Note, in particular, the last line of the recipe. RECIPE “Take 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, 1 whole nutmeg, 4 average sticks of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon coriander. These should all be pulverised (sic) in a mortar. About a handful each of stoned dates, dried figs, shelled almonds and peanuts: chop these and mix them together. A bunch of cannabis sativa can be pulverised (sic). This along with the spices should be dusted over the mixed fruit and nuts, kneaded together. About a cup of sugar dissolved in a big pat of butter. Rolled into a cake and cut into pieces or made into balls about the size of a walnut, it should be eaten with care. Some 27% consumers recently surveyed by Horowitz Research say they are watching more ads overall than before the pandemic. And, a third of respondents say they are paying attention to ads from local businesses more than they did before the COVID-19 crisis. How can broadcast TV stations capitalize on this? Horowitz SVP Adriana Waterston shares her thoughts.
