Former Bank Robber & Inmate, To Author & Preacher w/ Ted Nellis PT.2

Ted Nellis joins me to share his incredible story of his life as a small time pool hustler, convicted bank robber and prison inmate in a high security Canadian prison.  Before robbing banks, Ted started with smaller jobs, including a Christian book store in his home town city.  He was caught by police after a foot chase and taken back to the store to face the store owner.  The owner chose to show Ted mercy and not press charges and this act of grace and love has forever impacted Ted's life. As a young 19 year homeless man in Calgary Alberta, Ted decided to rob a bank out of desperation and foolishness. He and his partner in crime thought they got away with it and Ted was on his way back home to Ontario. He found himself considering robbing another bank in his hometown, which he did but this job ended with police officers arresting him at gunpoint and Ted was convicted with a prison sentence. This is only part 1 of my conversation.  Be sure to join me next week for part 2.  I know you will be encouraged by today's episode.

Rags To Riches To Ruins To Redemption w/ Dr. Joe Martin

We all have things we want from God. We all have things that we desire from God.  We also, all have things that we absolutely need from God.  God promises His people that if we seek first the kingdom of God and the righteousness of Jesus, that He would provide for us ALL that we NEED!  If you have great need right now, trust God and seek Him FIRST in your life, and He will provide everyone of your needs.  I know you will be encouraged by today's episode!

We should also not be ashamed to talk about this real issue. This mind war comes in the form of anxiety, depression, oppression, discouragement, fear, and on and on.  We need to talk about these things and find strength and grace from God who is completely aware of this battle.  I hope you are encouraged by today's episode.

Fully Known & Loved By God

Sometimes difficult situations, stressful circumstances and bad reports come our way and we don't know what to do. Sometimes only the news of something evil, can take us to a low and dark place of fighting feelings of fear.  These are the times where we must keep looking to Jesus and by faith begin to worship Him knowing that He will bring us to a place of victory and rest on the other side.  I know you will encouraged on today's episode.

Worship On The Frontline

On today's episode, I share with you some truth from God's word, as a dose of "spiritual dopamine" to help your discouragement. Dopamine is a natural chemical in our brain, and is responsible for allowing you to feel pleasure, satisfaction and motivation. When you feel good that you have achieved something, it's because you have a surge of dopamine in the brain. God's word of truth, mixed with praise and worship, is what we need to defeat and overcome discouragement that will come and try to weigh us down.
