Part 2 of our series where we ask honest questions about the restoration history.  We lay some foundational statements for questioning and then discuss of Joseph Smith  was a seer based on the scriptures.   Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon  from plates that were revealed to him by an angel.  Shortly after completing the translation he organized a church.  Revelations from God were given through him and recorded and published in various forms and versions.  He wrote The Book of Abraham, built Temples, brought forth the modern concept of Zion, a holy city, to be established in Independence, MO, produced a new version of the King James Version of the Bible with additions and corrections, as inspired by God, among other things.   It is a  colorful history tied to polygamy, murder, division, prophecy, and a restored authoritative priesthood.   We will look at some things that are not talked about openly, question honestly, and discuss what happened in the last 200 years with this young movement.   As mentioned in this episode, here is a link to the video that discusses source material and how to tell if what you are being told is reliable or not.  When examining history this is so important, not only what is being said but the quality of the information.  How valid is it?   #Hemlockknots. Jesus told his followers they needed to eat his flesh and drink his blood.   Wow!   That was crazy!   Many went away and followed him no more, but when he asked the 12 if they too would leave they answered "Where else can we go?  You are the Christ the son of the Living God." Sometimes we find ourselves not understanding this process.   This life, this pain and suffering.  But where else can we go?  God has a plan and part of that plan involves mists of darkness and pain and temptation and fiery darts being hurled from the adversary.   But beyond lies a tree with fruit most precious that we are created to partake of.    Join us as we discuss this and more, as we contemplate "Where else can we go?"
