Does this go both ways? The usefulness of the fringe Conservative, in believing everything that is told to them, or the Democratic voter, who prefers civility over assertive and composed discourse. We are all the reason we are here right now. Some to a much greater extent, responsible for much more of the mess, but we're here all the same. SCOTUS preserves pollution, embraces Christianity in school, and looks to rule on handing more election power to the states, rather than the people that live in them.

On Friday, the Supreme Court built by the former president ruled in a 6-3 majority to overturn rulings that had protected womens' right to an abortion for roughly 50 years. This is a ruling that goes against what the majority of Americans want, and further creates the argument for the Constitution needing to be based on reason that is consistent with the times, rather than based on the ideas of men who have been buried in the ground for 200 years.

Pat and I sat down for an unexpected recording where we talk about our perspectives on the educational system, how it's been structured, and how we think it could change. We wrapped up the show talking about the idea that history repeats itself, and that is important to notice the historical relevancy in the world we live in today, and how relative it is to how things used to be thousands of years ago as well as not that many years ago.

The corona virus has become very bad in New York State, as of my recording, we have over 10,000 cases. Despite social distancing, and professionals saying how critical it is that we listen to the precautions being put in place, there is a large population who seem very determined to not heed those warnings.

#43 - Attitude Towards A Global Pandemic

Today came with a difficult wake up. Tom Hanks and his wife are sick. Ruby Gobert and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz are sick. The NBA has shutdown, and Disney World is closed for the firs time since the September 11th terrorist attacks. SUNY schools have shut down, and Monroe County has it's first legitimate cases of the virus. People have shown that they do not know how to act in times of uncertainty and panic.  After finishing the recording, I saw that Charles Barkley from TNT's NBA talkshow is also under 48 hour testing until he gets results back, he had traveled to NYC and reportedly did not feel well after his return. I hope that everyone who is ill is able to recover, and I hope that there is no permanent damage done to there systems. For the people who have approached this entire global crisis with arrogance and ignorance, good luck. You will need it more than any of us ever will.
