Projects like these require rapid testing and quick turnaround times to stay on budget and are proving grounds for new technologies. Desktop 3D printing was still in its early days, and a community of people were coming together on their site to share knowledge and experiences while building out a distributed manufacturing network. Desktop 3D printing was still in its early days, and a community of people were coming together on their site to share knowledge and experiences while building out a distributed manufacturing network. Fast forward to today, and 3D Hubs describes themselves as the “world’s largest manufacturing network.” Today they offer not just 3D printing services, but CNC and injection molding as well. S1E2 - John Saunders: An Education in CNC

It’s only February and I will say that I&#39;ll be amazed if I find a more influential podcast in my life during 2019. I started with Episode 5 last week and immediately binged every episode in just a few days. All the episodes are fantastic and each one makes me wonder: “What am I doing with my life? Why am I not designing and making more things? I need to get serious and get to work!”

Additionally, from a technical standpoint, the podcast is excellent. I love the opening jingle, the questions asked, the way they tell a sub-story in the middle of each episode. There’s variety and yet, every episode fits into a larger narrative arc. I just love it. You can bet I’ll be listening to and recommending The Edge as long as Bantam keeps it going.
