These teams represent Tech with class, and we are fortunate to have these champions cheer our school's programs to victory! We are elated to have Coach Bruce Bills on today's show. Bruce is the Cheer, STUNT, and Mascot coach at Tech. He takes us through a day in the life of a Tech cheerleader, and we discuss what it takes for the team to be successful both in mixed group and the all female team.   Bruce is a champion in his own right. Alumni Alert: The Texas Tech Alumni Association

This episode introduces the Guns Up Nation 'Contests' segment. During each season of college sports, we will introduce a free to play contest that anyone is welcome to sign up for. This is a fun time for you to have the opportunity to 'smack talk' with some other folks and enjoy some good clean fun while hopefully meeting other good people! The first series of contests we are doing is an already 'active' contest that we are continuing from our previous podcast, 'Fearless Fans'. The Pick 5 challenge is an annual CFB free to play contest. Steve Makelki, one of your hosts, picks five college football games each week, and players decide their 'pick' to win each game. At the end of the season we have giveaways to the contest winners! If you are new to our contest, feel free to listen in and challenge yourself to see how you are doing along with the active players, and let us know!!
