Episode 36: The Dark Places of the World

The music of the films is probably the one thing that pulls me back into Middle Earth more than any reading or images. I mean, my alarm clock tone is “Concerning Hobbits”. Jordan does a great job of “digging deep”, as he quotes Tom Bombadill, without making the listener want to “go sleep”. Tolkien lovers and music lovers (not just musicians) should find this to be a very interesting podcast. Episode 5’s reading is AMAZING!! You can tell Jordan has an ear for sound and knows his trade well. I 100% recommend this podcast if you have experienced any kind of emotion when you’ve heard any portion of the LotRs score.

I came here on the Prancing Pony Podcast recommendation, and it did not disappoint. It was really interesting how he examines the music both technically and thematically. I strongly recommend this
