東京大学公開講座「統計」 今年2013年は、世界統計年(The International Year of Statistics)とされている。日本のこれまでの教育の中では統計の位置は確定したものではなく、高等学校の指導要領が統計を重視する方向に変わっているところであるが、統計への社会的な理解には不十分な面もあるように思う。 　本公開講座では、統計とはどういうものか、最先端の科学はどのようなデータに向き合っているか、我々は様々な数字をどのように理解していけばよいかなどを考えていきたい。
