Which is appalling given how medical institutions are meant to be a safe space of care and knowledge. Continuing the mini series on navigating the world in a fat body, Pallavi and Ameya talk about family in this episode. While family is an important and integral part of all our lives, concern trolling from family members can have a massive impact on mental health. And, of course, they've got some tips and tricks on how to handle the conversations that invariably need to be had.

Pallavi and Ameya have talked a lot about the problems that beset us all in this fatphobic world, and they've delved pretty deep into the dark and painful sides of our lives. But what happens when humility is humiliation and self deprecation becomes the way you punish yourself for not conforming to society's (idiotic) requirements? Pallavi and Ameya talk about their experiences with self-deprecation in this episode, and how damaging and dangerous it can be. It's not all rage though, there's science and giggles and how they have found ways to cope.

You've got to keep going back--whether it's school, university, the workplace, home and family or public spaces, anywhere that you are not alone.  Ameya and Pallavi go back down memory lane to talk about the impact rejection has had on their lives, what it still brings up for them and the tools they have developed to deal with it.
