This would be a game-changer for most churches resulting in better church attendance and overall growth. Most churches struggle to plan when it comes to promotions. Things are rushed and details missed. It costs more because orders must be rushed and in the end you don’t know what you have accomplished. SHOW NOTE It is important for your church's branding, marketing, and advertising to be consistent with your church's mission, direction, and vision. Attractive brands cause people to stick. Experiences consistent with your branding provide a positive experience. Using your brand in advertising provides consistency that will develop that "stickiness" you want as a church. Branding  Branding is about perspective. it's all about controlling the perception people have of your church. one way or the other, people are going to perspective your church.  so you might as well be intentional about the kind of people you want to attract to your church. this should be in alignment with what God has called you to be in that community. Yes, we want to accept everyone into our church, but as a brand, we want to lean onto that specific Audience we really good at reaching and build a brand around it. we can take a look at the life of Jesus. during his ministry on earth, he had a target audience which is the Jewish people find this in the story of Jesus and the Canaanite woman Matthew 15 vs 21   Marketing  Marketing is basically the experience people have with your brand. once you've defined your brand, you now have to act it out in a consistent way that's in alignment with your branding. for example if you're a community church,  you need to be out there serving the community. if your brand says your welcoming church, you should have the best greeters in town to be able to usher and welcome people like nobody else would do.  this way people get the experience of your brand and it paints what you say you are.  Advertising Is a key thing, Advertising is controlling the message you have as a church that goes out in the different area. basically on your website and on every social platform. As a brand, your message needs to be really good to be able to lock down and be consistent. this is what is going to develop that stickiness you want so people get to stay in your church. Show Notes: Give your volunteers ownership. Jesus gives away ownership to people and we should do the same in our churches. As a church staff, you should equip others to do the ministry. One way to do this is to create an environment that is volunteer-driven. Identify and acknowledge the unique gifts that your volunteers have and give them opportunities to put them to use. By investing in them and allowing them to take charge, you can encourage them to be in it for the long haul. Take time to train volunteers well. Have a proper system in place to train them up and evaluate regularly. Hands-on, one-on-one training is important, but you can also implement helpful videos and empower your leaders to help with training as well. Also, be sure to let volunteers get started in a way that they feel comfortable by creating levels of involvement and allowing them to gradually work up to higher levels. Learn to recruit effectively. Recruiting should not be done from a stage, but in a relationship. Make it more personal and get creative. This could mean having a contest and giving away a gift card or designating a specific Sunday for volunteers to bring a friend. Another great suggestion is to have a next steps class to plug new people into positions where they are gifted. Emphasize your vision. Give volunteers something worth being part of, a great organization that makes a difference. Have a meeting to present the vision and always keep the vision in front of them. Have your service directors get together to do training and carry the vision to others. Empower your volunteers. Make them want to be in it for the long haul. Appreciate them and recognize them for all they do. Have team nights that emphasize vision, training, and of course, appreciation—with mostly celebration, prizes, food, and not much teaching.
