In Europe, there are pre-hospital ECMO teams, and the US Air Force CCAT program has brought the technology far forward. Setting aside certain hoist techniques as only suitable for combat is a surefire way to guarantee that we don't have the right skills when they're needed in the next fight. If your unit is only training static hoists at IGE altitudes, this episode is for you.
