What would you give to be with God? The reality is shocking, because most of us wouldn’t give up much. Where are we going wrong? Do we misjudge the price or the prize or both? Is it because we don’t perceive God with our senses? Is it because we lack true personal interaction? How God’s heart must hurt on account of our hesitation. What will it take for us to want to be with God?

What Price Are You Willing to Pay

Every time we pray the Our Father, we pray for the coming of Christ’s Kingdom. This means we pray for the propagation of His Church, for the conversion of all sinners, and that Christ reign in our heart, mind, will and body. Too many think Christ need not be acknowledged as King by society and nations. Yet all things exist for His honor and glory. Consider these three truths: {1] You must prize God’s kingdom above all things. [2] You must labor to obtain His Kingdom. [3] You are an exile and must render a full account of your life.

Thy Kingdom Come

Pray and meditate upon the Rosary with the holy Angels; share their joy, sorrow and exaltation. Souls who unite themselves to the angels upon earth have great confidence they will be so be united in Heaven. God sent His most important message for our times through angelic messenger. If you want to help convert sinners (including those whom you love), then offer prayers and sacrifices. Put into practice what the Angel at Fatima asked and imitate his example.

The Holy Angels and the Rosary

Holy Mass, Confession, and Holy Communion are the great vessels, or fountains, of the Precious Blood. We must place the greatest importance upon them, for their power is far above our devotions and sacramentals. These three are also the greatest means to make reparation. We must open our eyes to see how great is this need. Remember your sins first, then those of the Church and the world – there is so much ingratitude, indifference and infidelity. By reparation we ‘balance’ the evil with good and console Our Lord and Our Lady.

The greatest fruits of the Precious Blood are the saints and martyrs. Consider, for example the life of St. Christina of Bolsena. Many don’t realize her connection to the great Eucharistic Miracle which took place over her relics one thousand years after her martyrdom. The link to the Precious Blood is seen in other great saints we venerate in July, such as St. James the Greater, St. Ann, and St. Mary Magdalene. Pray for the specific graces exemplified by these saints and specifically associated with the infinite power of the Precious Blood.

How often do you think about the Precious Blood, the price Our Lord paid for your redemption? In order to be cleansed of sin, we need the application to our souls of this Precious Blood. Adore and invoke the Precious Blood. Even little children can offer this prayer, Blood of Jesus, help me! Recall one of His seven sheddings each day of the week and beg for the specific graces associated with it. Reparation is also essential St. Veronica, pray for us.

Hear O Lord my voice with which i have cried to Thee. Abel’s blood cried to Heaven for vengeance. All these prayers are fulfilled and perfected in Christ’s Precious Blood, which has infinite power to save, protect, heal and sanctify. Adore the Precious Blood, especially every time you are at Mass. Meditate upon how inanimately connected it is to all our Catholic devotions. Pray the Chaplet of the Holy Wounds or the Rosary of the Five Wounds. Strive for the two greatest fruits of this devotion!

Anyone who has authority – religious or secular – has that power from God and each one who exercises authority must exercise it in accordance with God’s law. It is a public crime to act as if there is no God or that the true religion can’t be known by a state. In Immortale Dei (1885), Pope Leo XIII explains the duties of the state towards God. He provides the doctrine all Catholics must believe; we must draw out its practical conclusion.

What Jesus desires above all is our hearts and He wants to reign and rule in our hearts through His love. The Sacred Heart has a very special love for sinners and a great desire for their conversion. We must promote the kingly and social aspects of His reign. Civil society has to be organized according to Catholic principles. The state has the responsibility to safeguard God’s law and make sure it is obeyed by all. Yet Christ’s Heart, love, and reign are almost universally scorned, despised and rejected. Incredibly enough, this is also true within the Catholic Church. Do the very best you can, in your own small ways, to offer Him reparation.

The Catholic Faith exists to make the truth of the Blessed Trinity known to all men and thereby give God glory. Yet man can’t come to know the truth about God on his own. The great liturgical feasts from Pentecost through November are especially dedicated to pray for the help of the Holy Ghost. It is He who reveals the truth about God and conforms men to Christ. Consider, for example, why the pope instituted the Feast of Corpus Christi. If we truly believed in Jesus’ Real Presence, how would our life be different?

Too often we complain to God, we doubt God, or even think He is cruel. Our error lies in interpreting God based on our experience and understanding. Instead, the foundation must be the Blessed Trinity. All the mysteries of our faith flow from and lead us to that Ultimate Reality. God’s was are incomprehensible to us. We must trust and make continual acts of faith in His infinite wisdom and goodness. In hindsight, I see how great blessings have come from my trials and sorrows. This is true for everyone who remains faithful.

Consider what the Holy Ghost does, why we need Him, and how we can more effectively gain His assistance. All the spiritual goods that we possess come from the Holy Ghost, for He is the love of the Father and the Son. He purifies man from sin and unites man to God. He gives grace upon grace so long as one is disposed and requests. Love, adore, and thank the Holy Ghost. As man is terribly weak and poor, he ought to ceaselessly call upon the Holy Ghost’s assistance.

The Church is always teaching us perseverance. She does so, not so much in words, but through her liturgy, sacraments, prayers (e.g. novena), the lives of the saints, and how she calls us to live. From the day of our baptism, we called to the grace of final perseverance. One of the main purposes of confirmation is to help us persevere. We can never arrive at our happen end unto eternity unless we persevere in the True Faith
