Man is a spirit, has a soul and lives in a body.  Man is a spirit! Without the spirit, we’re just dust! The body is never born again, that is why we fall into sin. We must truly be born again. Once you’re born again, you belong to God. After this process, your spirit is a baby and needs to grow in order to function in this world. Your spiritual age is not determined by how long you’ve been a Christian, it is measured by maturity. In the baby stage you need the word of God, prayer and fellowship to grow. This stage requires intentionality.   Let us seek God wholly and grow in Him daily. Our spirit desires growth and that is found in God!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”   In today’s message, Rev Kodwo Orleans-Lindsay will teach us about the “Thy Rod and Thy Staff.” He explains how the “Rod and Staff” is a tool used by a shepherd to lead the sheep. How the Church Operates and the Love It Comes With

In Psalms 23:4 (KJV) it says, “ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”   In this message Reverend Lindsay preaches about the shepherding blessing of the rod and the staff. The Lord is with us by faith and He leads us through shepherds!  The rod and the staff are the mark of a shepherd. There are many functions of the rod and the staff. The rod and the staff are used to rule and lead. They are used to make a way. Rod and the staff are used to take territories. And we learn about the comforting ministry of the rod and the staff.      There is great blessing being under the covering of a shepherd through the rod and the staff. Your problems are not too big for the Lord, He will comfort you! Let us continue to seek his will and way for our lives.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV); “ 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.   As we conclude the season of intensive prayer and fasting Reverend Lindsay preaches about “Prayer Attitudes”or prayer postures that will keep you going and make prayer effective. Many Christians make prayer a honeymoon and do it for a short time out of the year. But,  this shouldn’t be the case. We must pray without ceasing. Let us have a lifestyle of prayer.    Prayer is a communication, a two-way affair not just about us speaking, but also being ready and willing to hear from God. It says in Isaiah 40:31”they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” we want to pray for what God will is for us. Prayer postures include both loud shouting but also quietly speaking to God where no man can even understand.   Learn to keep speaking to the Lord, wherever and whenever it doesn’t matter what people think, let us keep pouring out our soul before Him!
