PODCAST NOTES:* For starters: I know how you feel, it's a big problem for everyone, so good question* Comes down to the fact that you are putting too much pressure on the situation, * if training you aren't worried and playing well, it's because at training you aren't putting pressure on yourself* You aren't being afraid of the consequences of a mistakes * And thus you allow yourself to play free and to your TRUE ability * I strongly advise you to check out the podcasts I believe on iTunes "I'm not you, sports motivation" and check out the "Give yourself the green light" episode, you may even want to listen to it every time before a game if you feel it,* But anyways: it speaks about "giving your self the green light when it comes to the game, * Understand you've done the training, you've put in the nessecary work during the week, and you've done all that you can, * and now it's just Time to let all that work reap the rewards* Instead of continuing to stress * Look at it like this: when it comes to training, push so hard, get stressed emotionally uncomfortable so you can firstly get comfortable with uncomfortable but secondly to squeeze out as much as possible from your trainings, be strict with yourself * BUT THEN when it comes to the game, that's where you have your fun, that's where you can finally give yourself a break, even if you have to for your own mindset, to make yourself understand,*  think in your own mind that you're just taking the piss, just having fun, not caring about if you win or lose, make your self laugh, even if you have to fake the laugh or fake the smile,* Try it in training, when you lose the ball litterally just laugh in your own mind, make up some sort of comedic side to everything in your own mind* NOW, you may be think well dude, I have to play well or the coach will hate me and then my career is over* Firstly, as the podcast episode highlights, thinking isnt going to make you player better, stressing over that you have to play well won't make you play well, give your self te green light, and just play, just kick the ball, just control, don't TRY and do anything just do it. * I'd advise you to read the book "body mind mastery by dan milkman,* But in any case,  you wouldn't be asking this question if what you are doing isn't working for you* So think about taking a new approach, and if it doesn't work, you're no better no worse, but if this becomes a big epiphany type break through then hey; wel worth it* But secondly, it litterally doesn't matter if you play a bad game, like it genuinely has no bad outcome in the Long term of your life, it may even benefit you because you then get the inspiration to ask someone for help eg me in this case, and hey you may learn a few things or you may learn absolutely nothing from me but you simply learn from the people I mention you to check out•And I know you've probably heard the whole "just have fun" approach before, and for me I know it's just like" ok dude thanks for the help, " but honestly take this information seriously, and try it out practically like * Actually fake laugh if you have to in your own mind when you make a pass,  don't bash your self, trust me Soon you will actually just get more positive, I'm not saying this will instantly make you play better or 100% bullet proof * but for me atleast it Makes you not be so overwhelmed by your own negative thoughts, and then continuing to make more mistakes and getting more negative until you're in the mahoosive negative cycle, * break it, laugh about The mistake, hey you might make another mistake, continue to laugh about it "how in the balls did I that player intercept my pass, what a geezer" and then you will inevitably do something good "and instead of lingering oh well my other pass should've been like that, blah blah blah negative negative negative, still laugh about that the good thing, "dayyyum Kyle, mans got skills today" just create an upwards spiral of positivity not a snowball of negative doom.* But another thing I'll Touch on briefly now, I'll make another video dedicated to this! * Mediate, * visualise, * EFT, verbalise (affirmations * Use all the techniques they will make you feel more control of your emotions, and for me verbalising just boosts your emotions, MOTION CREATES EMOTION, get outside of your head, that's key, stop overthinking that's generally the whole Problem* Relax, you're gonna be fine, play well, you're professional career is coming to you, stick at it be patient, one bad game isn't going to destroy your career.. unless you let it, * Your better of laughing making a Joke of the way you played but then smash your self, be strict be seriously, think about what you can and improvethrough Training * And then come back and give it another shot next game, played bad or good try again, * Just understand you don't have to have the skills of Messi tomorrow, it's a process, the most patient wins, long term patience but short term impatience (ie train train train) but understand nothing may come off the training for a while so stop getting upset and angry at yourself and others cause you aren't performing, it's not meant to be easy, you're trying to be an elite athlete at the most popular sport in the world, wake Up, get realistic, but love the process and the journey👊🏽bless * While Im travelling im going to do more Of these ranting video, once I get home in Australia I'll get into more structured edited videos so you can get clear principles and tips, for now study what I say and put It in action See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

6: Game Day Confidence - How To Be Confident Playing Soccer Games & Matches

OVERCOME YOUR DOUBT - I dont believe in fate… I believe you create your own destiny. I believe in something called the path of least resistance. Which is a scientific term for associated with things like electricity and biology. Although I have extrapolated it out to a belief system I use in life. More of a philosophy. Environmental factors may influence you, but its always your choice.  For example injuries or lack of money, may push you into the position where the only “smart” thing to do is quit soccer… but thats not fate, thats you choosing an option from the hand you have been given. You always have the choice to go agaisnt the grain.. for your personal situation it may be dumb to go agaisnt the grain, but it doesn’t its fate or predestined, it just means your mean  choosing the path of least resistance, and it may be with good reason too.Often going for your goal and dreams is NOT the path of least resistance. Thus there is such reward, because if everyone could do it, it wouldn’t be something worth rewarding for, clubs wouldn’t pay such good money for players if theres unlimited options to fill an 11 a side team.To go for a dream, you’re using will power, discipline, strategies of motivation etc. its not something you can breeze through without. discomfort. Thus eventually one may grow tired of this, of not seeing results, of  only seeing obstacles and adversity, and thus they decide to go down the path of least restistance aka not pursuing your dreams, and instead getting a job or what ever,I personally think that believing that I don’t have control of their own life, and its up to a higher power, god, the universe etc, I believe this is dispowering to me, Its leaving my life in luck, or the lottery of if the high power believes we are deserving of greatness and becoming a professional soccer player.  In saying that, I believe in what ever belief system gets you result, I’m down for. If your beliefs keep you from becoming down and depressed when you’re going the hardship and advsersity. Than thats amazing. So Im far from saying im against believing in a higher power. Infact i do believe in god, or the universe or how ever you want to call it. But my belief system is that I control my life, not anything else.Rather I personally like to believe I can create the life I want, the life I deserve simply through taking the correct actions. Following in the foot steps of people who have done it. Just like cooking using a recipe, If I follow the steps I will get the same outcome as the person who created the recipe in the first place.Everyone has different paths of least resistance: thats as close as fate or destiny I can agree and believe in. People are born with different paths of least resistance. People are born with different physical advantages or disabilities, people are born into different social or economical statuses, people are born into different cultures where different sports are the norm.  So for example, an 7ft American who was born in area where basketball was the norm, even if he didn’t like basketball, his path of least resistance may be basketball rather than even getting a normal job..Or take an Italian, in a. Country where soccer is everything, soccer schools from the age of 4 with a soccer system to develop players is going to have an easier path than a player in America where soccer isn’t the go to sport. But as evidence shows there are world class Americans, and there are a whole of Italians who never made it professional. Which clearly shows that, regardless of your path and how much resistance it has. If someone else has done it the same or worse position than you, then most deffinitely you can do it too. You simply have to follow the correct steps, and don’t leave it up to someone or something else. You are in control of your reality. To continue on with my explanation of the path of least resistance. You may be going through obstacles and adversity, and depending on your belief system you may think, okay Im destined not to be a soccer player, or with another belief system you may think okay, my path has a lot of resistance, but that doesn’t mean its not a path I can’t go down, I can go through this path, its just going to be tougher than what some other people have… then you have to ask your self, do you want to go down a path which has so much resistance, or would you be happier going down a path of least resistance, and I mean really ask yourself, even if you love soccer so much, but you seem to be coming agasint obstacle after obstacle, set back after setback, you have to ask yourself what will give you a happy and fulfilling life, cause that what its all about. If your path has so much resistance that It means, losing friends, missing out on parties and fun, if it means hitting your head against a metaphorical Wall again and again… Work out if you want to keep going through it. But I urge you not to think its not in your control. Obstacles don’t mean you can’t get success, obstacles doesn’t mean you are not destined for your goals, and that your goals go against your fate. All it simply means is that its going to be hard. And maybe way too hard that it isn’t possible for you, because you have to look after siblings or parents are pressuring you to get high education. As I said there will be environmental and social pressure. But it is always your choice to decide what makes sense for you. And it may make complete sense to go down the path of least resistance, you may be happier and more fulfilled in the path of least resistance, I cant tell, predict or decide that for you. CONQUER FEAR FOREVER. Show notes ---&gt; Fear: What is fear, Why do we feel fear... Evolutionary to help us stay away from danger... A part of our brain called the amygdala uses our senses such as hearing smelling seeing,   and will set off the fear response if it senses something negative, and it uses our past experiences to do so. Thus why it's so hard to break fear patterns, because the more we give into fear the more it confirms that it's dangerous... How to never feel fear again But luckily, this part of the brain also remembers positive things... So if our alarm bells get set off, but we with willpower do what gave us the fear, our brain realizes the situation is a false alarm, and what ever was situation that the brain sensed to set off the fear response starts getting associated with positivity... And it takes more than once unfortunately, but every time the fear response will get weaker and weaker, as the brain realizes last time wasn't all that bad, but it's still careful, eventually you will start having more and more positive responses until the same situation eg, game day, trial day, spiders, snakes, heights, ,talking to a stranger or crush... Eventually the same situation will arise but the brain won't send out the fear response, anxiety, sweat palms, that feeling in your stomach Asking stranger for the  Time, valentine's day, asking me crush to be my valentine's, taking the corners or free Kick, stepping up and fight to take the penalty, going one of the massively high giant Drop rides,  let a spider crawl on me, public speaking, lying down on the ground in the middle of a shopping center foot path, randomly singing out loud in public transport Tackling fear in every aspect of like, don't let fear rule your life, it will until you begin to rule the fear, when you're scared ask yourself what am I focusing on to make me fearful, make  a list of every little things that scares you, intimidates you, gives you butterflies etc...  everyday do something  on the list... Everytime you randomly get these feelings, be aware of your feelings, and realise it'd a pivotal moment of where you can grow and become better.
