Gordon was raised by one of the legends of the older generation, Harold McCracken, a fastidious and well known operator who made his name with his B Model Mack ‘Ramblin Rose’ and his traditional Cortina hubcaps. The detail on this first truck set a precedent for Gordon who, as a self-taught pinstriper, began to line and scroll everything in the house that had a hard surface. We’re sure you’ll a kick out of his history, love of trucks and absolutely hilarious sense of humour.

Brown and Hurley is synonymous with the Kenworth brand and well known amongst the transport industry. We loved being able to interview JJ and to be honest, lucky to pull Bruce away from Jim’s collection of vehicles long enough to allow him to say a few words. The rise of the Brown and Hurley group from humble beginnings to the empire it today, will be a story to remember and a legacy that will live on for many years to come.
