Apologies for being away for so long, I'm finally back and I have some amazing annoucements and news. Thank you to everyone who has stuck by me and the pod, I appreciate every single one of you. 24 year old Annie Le was an exceptionally bright and promising young woman. At the age of just 24, she was working towards her doctorate with studies in pharmacology at Yale University and was getting ready to get married and settle down. Everyone who knew Annie described her as a bright and smart young woman and when she disappeared just 5 days before she was due to get married, her husband-to-be knew that it wasn’t a case of cold feet. Before Annie could ever graduate and walk across the stage at Yale, her life was taken away from her. 18-year-old Tammy Lynn Leppert was anything but your average 18-year-old from Rockledge Florida. By the time she had turned 18, Tammy had participated in over 300 beauty contests, taking the crown 280 times and was on the path to stardom. She had recently picked up two small roles in Hollywood films, the most notable of which being ‘Scarface’. But this fame and fortune wasn’t as glamorous as it seemed, behind the scenes, Tammy was exhibiting bizarre behaviour and when she mysteriously disappeared in July 1983, a whole host of questions came bubbling to the surface. Annie Borjessen was born and grew up in Sweden but always had a longing and love for Scotland. In 2004, Annie’s dreams came true when she moved from her native Sweden to Scotland to study English. Her family were over the moon for her, every time they spoke she seemed incredibly happy and was excited to see what her next adventure would be. Sadly, those adventures would be tragically cut short in what is one of Scotland’s most mysterious deaths. In January 2010 builders began works on the carpark located between Angel Street, Danztic Street and Muller Street in Manchester. On January 25th 2010 builders at the site made a bone-chilling discovery. As they were working, one of them came across a human skull. When they dug further they found the rest of the skeleton wrapped in sections of blue carpet. As of 2021, the remains are still unidentified and she is known only as "The Angel of the Meadow". On November 10th, 1985 a hunter was making his way through Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown, New Hampshire when he came across a burnt down store. Near the store, he found a 55-gallon metal drum. Inside the barrel were the remains of a woman and a young girl wrapped in plastic and stuffed inside. Both of the victims had died as a result of blunt force trauma. February 1st 1968 started out like any other for two fishermen at Alton Lake, St Charles County, Missouri.  The pair spotted a black suitcase that was floating about 12 feet from the bank, which is located near the south end of the Lewis and Clarke Bridge, just of US Highway 67. They probably thought they might find some hidden gems or merely some rubbish that someone had wanted to dispose of. What they found, was not a hidden gem nor rubbish, it was the body of a toddler who would come to be known the West Alton Jane Doe. On the morning of July 17th 1982 two hikers set out along the Sheep Flats on what was to be a sunny and breezy day in the popular hiking area of Washoe County, Nevada, close to Lake Tahoe. Their day was set to be a calm and peaceful one when they came across the body of a 25 to 35 year old woman who had been sexually assaulted and shot in the back of the head. She had been shot as she was bent over.The killer had also concealed the bullet wound with a pair of mens underwear. It wasn't until 2019, over 37 years later, that our doe was able to get her name back. Racine County, situated in South Eastern Wisconsin with a population of around 195,000 as of 2010 and around 185,000 in 1999. With a dense suburban feel and most people owning their own property, the county had a small and homely feel. The small town of Raymond, Racine County had a tiny population of just 3,516 in the year 2000, adding to the sense of safety and security for its residents. The illusion of the small town safety was shattered on July 21st 1999 with a horrific discovery that would haunt the Racine County Police Department for over 20 years. At around 06:15am on July 21st 1999 a man was walking with his dog along 92nd Street which is situated along 6 Mile Road and 7 Mile Road in the small town of Raymond, Wisconsin. In amongst a cornfield he discovered the body of a young woman who had clearly suffered before her passing. On February 24th 1980, Jack D. Bannister and his son Jack P Bannister planned on spending some quality father-son time together searching for gold along the Fly Creek which is close to Canyon Creek in Vancouver, Washington. They found much more than gold that brisk February day when they came across the skeletal remains of a teenage girl - minus her torso and hands.  It wasn't until 40 years later that the Fly Creek Jane Doe would finally be able to reclaim her name. It seems that on August 24th 1867 Frederick Baker was not just walking through Alton with the purpose of a leisurely walk but with cruel intentions.  By the evening of August 24th the small town of Alton would be shaken by one of the most vicious murders and mutilations of a child the U.K has ever seen. This is the murder of sweet Fanny Adams. This week's episode takes us back to Halloween, 1979 in Georgetown, Texas. Halloween is usually a day filled with mischief and magic however for The Orange Socks Jane Doe, the day would be marred with tragedy and a mystery that spanned over 40 years.  Orange socks was discovered on October 31st 1979 in a drainage ditch just off Interstate 35 in Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas. Her cause of death was strangulation and she had extensive bruising on her neck and body. The other bruising came from the fact that she had been thrown from an overpass and dragged through a grassy area. In September 1996, police were called out to a foul odour and a pool of blood coming from a Hollywood, Florida apartment. What they found inside was the body of Ricardo Lopez, surrounded by 11 hours of footage, an 803 page diary and scribblings on the wall, all dedicated to the Icelandic singer Bjork. On September 8th 1991, two people were riding their horses in a field near Calder Road, Texas when they came across the remains of a female. They called this into the local police department and the Galveston County Medical Examiners Officer was soon involved in the hopes of identifying the doe. Sadly, the medical examiner and the police were unable to identify the body found and she was given the placeholder name of Janet Doe. Janet Doe would become another victim in the infamous ‘Texas Killing Fields Case’.  Time passed by with Janet’s family and all of the Agents/Detectives involved waiting patiently when in late 2019, answers finally came. Detectives and agent’s alike met with the Galveston County Medical Examiner to discuss the findings of her investigations. The medical examiner said that she had agreed with the DNA testing results and that she was actually in the process of updating Janet’s death certificate. Moskvin said that he felt sorry for the dead children and that they were calling out to him to be resurrected. On February 2nd 2009 Christine Ross was walking her dog along the Arroyo Bank on Albuquerque's West Mesa , when she came across a bone sticking out of the ground. Ross suspected that the bone didn’t look like it came from an animal. She took a picture of the bone and sent it over to her sister who is a nurse. Her sister replied and much to Ross’ horror her suspicions were confirmed, it was human. Upon investigation, Albuquerque police discovered that between 2001 and 2005 11 women had been buried on the West Mesa by an unknown killer. Police utilised technology and did satellite scans of the area which showed tyre tracks and plots of disturbed soil where the women had been buried.
