What Are The Qualities Of A Classical Chinese Medicine Doctor? - Episode 19

In this podcast Dr. Bisong touches on the interplay of YinYang in both our own bodies and the cultures of the East and West.Talking points include:- In history the East has operated on cultivating invisible principles and the West has focused on cultivating the Physical and Material.- The fundamental design for Earth is balance. On a global scale this means different societies operating with opposing values is necessary for the world to function. - Having a birds eye perspective of the Earth and Bigger Picture is also necessary for balance and health inside our own bodies.- Chinese Medicine is built on the principle of an ecosystem. One thing affects another and the energetic ecosystem will always react to keep the balance. The insight that is bring brought from a Classical Chinese medicine perspective is very much needed! It seems that the switch from classical to “modern” chinese medicine has severed key aspects out such as the spirit to make it more “mordern”. I found this podcast to be very helpful in understanding Chinese Medicine. I’ve been seriously it studying for about a year and some concepts are not fully understood at first but the explanations of CM theory in this podcast helps things all come together. The soothing voice of Dr. Guo is wonderful. I gave this 4 stars because the sound quality needs to improve. The most recent episode (December 4, 2019) was better. I have the volume all the way up and I am still missing some things said. Overall though this is great. Thank you for your work and please keep it coming.

The Five Virtues &amp; The Five Organs:This will be a 5 part series discussing the relationship between the five virtues and the five organs largely taken from the De Dao Jing.The De Dao Jing was the original version of the famous book Dao De Jing written over 2,500 years ago. In this podcast Dr. Bisong gives an update on the situation in China and some strategies which have helped them deal with the virus:Some of the topics discussed include:- Why in the Gansu province after Chinese Medicine was introduced as a treatment there was an 87.9% cure rate from the virus.- Why an early lock down is so important in the response to pandemics and how this reflects the statistics of the spread of coronavirus in China.- Why there is a necessity for immediately categorising the severity of the infected individuals and placing them into different areas.- In China today Western Medicine is predominant and Chinese Medicine is viewed as unscientific.
