From Targum Onkelos, we learn that the “Word of the LORD” was in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. Adam represents mankind. The deeper spiritual meaning of Adam is “blood of God”. Adam and Eve are in covenant. The marriage between Adam and Even in the garden foreshadows Yeshua’s marriage to His bride. Yeshua shed His blood to have a bride. In the covenant  terms for Adam and Eve, God gave them blessings and told them to dress and keep the garden. There was only one condition: they were not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the Babylon tree, representing mixture). The two trees in the garden represent obedience to Torah or following Babylon. We must choose between obeying Torah (tree of life) or disobeying Torah (Babylon tree). The walk represented a death to living to your self-interests and starting a new life with your covenant partner. There they pronounced their pledges of loyalty and making promises to each other that never could be broken. This is called the “blessing of the covenant”.  The blood covenant includes:1) A representative of the covenant is chosen2) There is an exchange of garments: Robes, belts, weapons, names and sons3) Terms of the covenant are given: Blessings, Promises and Curses4) There is the cutting of the covenant. Israel: God's Prophetic Time Clock Pt 3 ~ When Will the Exile of the Northern Kingdom End?

Paul asks a question in Galatians 3:21:Is the Torah then against the promises of God? In mainstream Christianity, it is taught that you either believe in Yeshua and follow Him OR you follow the Torah. In other words, it is framed that following the Torah is opposed to the promises of God that we receive through Abraham’s example to us that we are saved by grace through faith.  (“Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:3, Genesis 15:6)Paul answers his question:God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Hebrews 5: 12-14We are to grow from being a “babe” in Messiah and become mature, whole, complete, in fullness. The goal of a disciple of Yeshua is to become part of the bride, where she will dwell with Yeshua forever in the New Jerusalem. The goal of the disciple then, is to grow into spiritual maturity so that the disciple will be able to enter into the second stage of the marriage, where you “dwell with” Yeshua forever in the New Jerusalem.Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48When we see the word “perfect”, we may think it means that we never make a mistake. The word, in greek, is teleios, and it means, “brought to an end, finished, completeness, fullness, maturity.” In the process of growing into spiritual maturity, we will experience what Yeshua experienced. We will be persecuted. We will be despised and rejected of men. We will be falsely accused and misunderstood. The last part of the verse is talking about the END of the exile, that the exiles of Israel will be returning to the land. Wedding is associated with the gathering of the exiles and return to the land.How are we to prepare for the days that are coming upon us, the days known as “Jacob’s Trouble”? How are we to prepare spiritually? Right in the middle part of the verse, we have the phrase “of them that shall bring the SACRIFICE OF PRAISE into the House of the Lord.”This is sandwiched right in the middle between “voice of the bridegroom/voice of bride” and the ending of the captivity of His people.What IS the sacrifice of praise? The Torah teaches us that we must confess our sins AND the sins of our forefathers. We tend to focus only on our own personal sin. However, the sins of our forefathers DO impact us and affect us. There is personal sin and there is “national” sin; that is, sins of the nation of the people who follow the God of Israel.If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; nd that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. Leviticus 26: 40-42Nehemiah understood this principle of confessing of the sins of your people and of your forefathers. Read Nehemiah 1: 5-7And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keeps covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou may hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned. We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses. Nehemiah 1:5-7Two major national sins that are in the House of Joseph/Ephraim that needs repentance:*the sin of our forefather Jeroboam, who led the Northern kingdom into rebellion and instituted golden calf worship system. *the sin of turning away from the Torah. One of the responsibilities of a Melchizedek Priest is to teach the people in the kingdom the ways of the heavenly Father, which is His Torah. So everyone in His kingdom is to be taught the Torah and live the Torah. If there is anyone who departs from the Father’s “rules of the house”, then a faithful Melchizedek priest is going to lay down his life to bring restoration and reconciliation to the family. Yeshua said in John 10:11, 15:I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.There is no greater love than to lay down your life for the benefit of another. Love is the highest form of following the Torah. The highest form of love is to lay down your life for another and bring them back to the Father’s rule, and reign and authority:This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12-13 One of the reasons that Yeshua died on the tree was that he was redeeming His firstborn son, (Ephraim, Jer. 31:9) who had departed from the Father. HHMI ~ Yeshua's  Life and Ministry ~ Pt 1 ~ Yeshua our Salvation

In this session, we learn more about the life of Messiah Yeshua. His parents followed the Torah and had him circumcised on the 8th day according to Torah instructions (Leviticus 12).He was born in Bethlehem and Bethlehem means “house of bread”. Yeshua is the “bread of life”, Torah is our living bread and Yeshua is the living Torah and the living bread.Yeshua was found at the age of 12 at the temple dialoguing with the rabbis about Torah:And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. Luke 2:46-47By profession, Yeshua was a carpenter. Carpenters build houses. This was prophetic of what Yeshua is going to do spiritually: build up the house of Israel. He was a faithful firstborn so over his own house. Likewise we have a calling and a task to be called a faithful firstborn son over the house of the God of Israel. Yeshua begins his public ministry at the age of 30. Why at this age?
