Pixel Fold thoughts after a few weeks of use

The hope is that whatever ‘Chromebook X’ or ‘Chromebook Plus’ becomes, it addresses not only build quality and specifications in Chromebooks, but also device names as well. A month with Stadia, Chrome OS hits 79, and smart home tech giants ally together

We’re now a week removed from the arrival of all the new Google Hardware for the Fall 2019 season. The show was great and now that we’ve had some time to reflect and decompress a bit, our feelings and reactions have become quite a bit more clear about all we saw at the event. The main thoughts in this episode surround the Pixelbook Go and the Pixel 4/4XL. The Pixelbook Go has arrived in the office to pretty rave reviews by anyone who’s spent a few moments with it. Working from home to 'Works with Chromebook'

This week on The Chrome Cast, we’re discussing the absolute tidal wave of Chromebooks coming our way in 2020. We fully expect to see a few of them at CES in January and a solid portion of the rest in the weeks to follow. With devices in the ‘Hatch’ and ‘Kukui’ families dominating the scene, we’re in for more new Chromebooks than we’ve ever seen prior. We spend a bit of time discussing Qualcomm’s probable role in all this as well with the upcoming Snapdragon 7c looking quite likely for the future of Chrome OS. Though we’ve been tracking ‘Cheza’ as the first Snapdragon-powered Chromebook for almost 2 full years, it looks like that future will give way to the Snapdragon 7c and a baseboard only known right now as ‘Trogdor’. Another wave of new Chromebooks, Ambient Displays & Pixel 4 landing pages

We won’t beat around the bush on this one: this whole podcast is about the Google event and all the fun stuff we got to test and see while we were there. There’s just so much to talk about right now from the Pixelbook Go, Pixel 4 and 4 XL, Pixel Buds, new Nest Home Mini, and Nest Wifi that it simply took over the entire show this week.
