This week, fine art creatives and gallery owners Joye DeGoede and April Howland join the Curious Kirby crew to discuss how to establish a new art gallery. With recent knowledge of how to accomplish this challenge in the middle of a global pandemic, Joye and April share their success stories and encouragement. As April puts it, "Don't be afraid to ask... the worst they can say is no and that doesn't change anything... where can I find a yes. I'm going to find one eventually." Joye DeGoede (pronounced Joy Dee-Good) Joye is the owner of JoyEful Gallery - Joye DeGoede Fine Art which opened in January 2021 Joye is also the artist behind the original JoyEful Party Animals®.  Internationally recognized and collected artist Joye DeGoede of the original JoyEful Party Animals® works juxtapose reality with fantasy, inspiring the viewer to see the fun in the mundane and the vast opportunities for joy in our everyday world.  Joye, says “I love painting the surrealistic mixture of animals imitating human habits and in their natural habitat to bring empathy to wildlife conservation... April Howland April has been been a professional artist for over 20 years. After studying under a wonderful art mentor in Sedona, Arizona, and receiving her degree, she sought out various acclaimed artists and instructors and began honing her fine art skills. Inspired by nature and animals, April’s primary focus remains steady in her thriving wildlife series and domestic animal portrait business. As she travels the globe from Alaska to Africa for inspiration, April’s eye for composition and design combined with her love of color enables her to create rich and unique art pieces.
