Today we’re sitting down with one of my favourite photographers—Kyler Zeleny. Kyler’s work documents the small towns and culture of the Canadian West, and is not only impressive visually, but also has incredible depth, and a very strong direction and purpose behind it.In this interview, we talk about the importance of photo books, long terms projects and finding direction in your work, having an end goal in sight, failing as an artist, and the act of photographing strangers.This is one of the longer interviews so far, but I really think it’s full of a lot of valuable advice, especially when it comes to long term projects and photo books.
