Today my guest is Architect Jorge Gracia. Jorge is responsible for some of the best Architecture in the last 20 years down in Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos. His homes have been featured in Dwell Magazine and he has a client list a mile long. Jorge has branched out into the U.S. and has projects going on everywhere including Downtown Disney. Hear this mans story on how he got into Architecture and how he started his Architecture school in Tijuana. Jorge Gracia es un arquitecto mexicano que fundó su oficina en Tijuana pero en su vida diaria lleva una dualidad de culturas y países que se refleja en su práctica arquitectónica. Sus proyectos se gestan en México pero la mayoría se ejecutan en Estados Unidos, esta dualidad le ha brindado dos maneras de resolver problemas. En 2014 fundó la Escuela Libre de Arquitectura ahí mismo en Tijuana.

Jorge J. E. Gracia is Samuel P. Capen Chair and SUNY Distinguished Professor in the departments of Philosophy and Comparative Literature at SUNY Buffalo. He has written and edited more than 40 books, including “Surviving Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality in the Twenty-First Century” (Rowman &amp; Littlefield, 2005), “Hispanic/Latino Identity: A Philosophical Perspective” (Blackwell, 2000), and the forthcoming “Latinos in America: Philosophy and Social Identity.”
