Coach Bacile played 4 years of varsity basketball at Monacan High School for Coach Larry Starr before going on to play 4 years at Franklin &amp; Marshall College, a Division III school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. At the conclusion of her senior season at F&amp;M, Bacile was selected as a member of the 2015 WBCA’s “So You Want to be a Coach” program, a program that is held at the Women’s Final Four each year that helps collegiate women’s basketball players who are interested in pursuing a career in coaching. After college, she returned home to Richmond, VA and became an assistant coach at her alma mater, Monacan for the 2015-2016 season. The Chiefs finished 29-1 that season and won the VHSL Class 4 State Championship. In 2016-2017, Bacile was working on her Master’s degree in Sport Leadership in the CSL Program at VCU while serving as a graduate assistant coach for the University of Richmond’s Women’s Basketball team under Coach Michael Shafer. Bacile began coaching at the Steward School in 2017 – 2018 as the Head JV Coach &amp; Varsity Assistant. In 2018, Bacile took over as Varsity Head Coach for the girls basketball team at Steward. In 3 seasons, her teams have gone 60-14 and qualified for the State Tournament each year. They won the TCIS Conference Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championship in 2019. The Spartans have won back to back VISAA Division II State Championships in 2020-2021. She was named VISAA Division II State Coach of the Year in 2020.
