On this week's episode, the Minute Women dive into the heroic story of Richard Pierpoint. It's the story of a former enslaved Black Loyalist who played a pivotal role in the War of 1812. In this episode we discuss the life of Richard Pierpoint, or at least the parts of it that are known.  He was born in West Africa and trafficked into slavery in America in the late 18th century.  He eventually gained his freedom, and moved to Canada as a Loyalist.
