He has worked with a wide range of artists including Elvis Costello, Patti LaBelle, Dr. John, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Etta James, Aaron Neville and many others. Toussaint began his studio career supervising recordings for Minit Records and Instant Records in New Orleans, writing and producing hits for Ernie K-Doe, Irma Thomas, Art and Aaron Neville, Chris Kenner and Benny Spellman.
