He is the author of “I Am, Am I, to Trust the Joy That Joy Is No More or Less There Now Than Before” (Roof Books), “Jerusalem Notebook” (O’clock Press), “The Sissies” (Futurepoem), “Terra Firmament” (Krupskaya), “Shoo-Ins to Ruin” (Gold Wake Press), and “Us Them Poems” (Book*hug). He runs the occasional press, Dirty Swan Projects, and was born in Beacon, New York, in 1983. He lives in San Francisco, California.Sophia Dahlin is a poet in Berkeley. She leads generative poetry workshops and teaches youth creative writing. With Jacob Kahn, she edits a small chapbook press called Eyelet. Her first book, “Natch,” was released in 2020 by City Lights Books.Garrett Caples is the poetry editor at City Lights and the curator of the Spotlight Poetry Series. He is also an acclaimed poet in his own right and has had numerous books published. Michael talks with Evan Kennedy, a security consultant here at Harbor Technology Group, about his nearly two years working at Harbor. They discuss Harbor’s approach to awareness training, including the two-prong curriculum for simulated phishing. Evan also details the difference between vulnerability scanning versus ethical hacking penetration testing and gives tips for SMBs on how to respond to simulated phishing emails.

Listen in as Evan Kennedy, PEBC Director of Strategic Initiatives and Policy, joins the Phenomenal Teaching podcast to share how PEBC works with local, state, and national leaders to inform the development of sound education policy.  Policy work is all about people and gathering multiple perspectives so that education policies can benefit all students.   Evan shares how the PEBC strives to elevate teacher voice so that lawmakers have the information they need to make informed decisions. This work includes inspirational initiatives such as,  holding  a convening for teachers to share their experiences with COVID-19 for Senator Michael Bennett, collaborating with teachers to research and pilot various teacher evaluation systems to improve the system in Colorado, and looking long-term by uncovering how we can create a more resilient system for public education.  PEBC has developed decades of direct experience in schools, deep knowledge of theory and practice, and a network for thousands of exceptional educators and passionate business and community leaders.
