In this episode, we talk with Park Tudor’s Director of Equity and Inclusion Camille Wiggins. We discuss her experience at the recent People of Color Conference from NAIS and how it will help inform the conversation at Park Tudor in the coming weeks and months.About Camille from Parktudor.orgCamille joined Park Tudor from IUPUI, where she was Senior Admissions Counselor. In her role, she was responsible for the execution of recruitment and outreach objectives for first-year and transfer student populations; evaluation of student mindsets; and collaboration with academic units and campus partners on degree programs, campus community, and culture. Prior to joining IUPUI, Camille served as Director of Legal Personnel and Diversity for Ice Miller LLP; her responsibilities included administering and facilitating diversity, inclusion, and customer service education throughout the law firm. She has also been a Diversity Consultant and Facilitator to a broad range of organizations including for-profit companies and non-profits, state and local governments, and community groups. Her expertise includes presentations and facilitating discussions on a variety of topics covering inclusion, micro-aggressions, unconscious bias, workplace behaviors, cultural competency, and community building. Camille holds a B.A. in English from Earlham College, and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Camille helps to reflect on Dr. Glasgow's interview and consider the implications for Park Tudor School, in light of recent events in the US.About Dr. Rodney Glasgow from rodneyglasgow.com:Rodney Glasgow is a noted speaker, facilitator, trainer and activist in the areas of diversity, equity, and social justice.  He has given a number of keynote presentations, delivered workshops, and offered consultation to schools and organizations nationwide.  He was a member of Call-to-Action, the advisory board to the Vice President of Equity and Justice for the National Association of Independent Schools.  Additionally, he is an advisory board member for the Family Diversity Projects, Inc.  He was on the Board of Directors for The Friendly House, a Worcester-based community empowerment organization, and a Community Solutions Council Specialist for Supporting Positive Youth Development with the United Way of Central Massachusetts.  In 2009, he was given the People of Courage Award by the City of Worcester for his work with the Greater Worcester Community Foundation’s LGBT Initiative.  He is one of the founding members and now Chair of the National Association of Independent School’s annual Student Diversity Leadership Conference, a 20 year-old training ground drawing over 1500 high school students nationwide.  Last year, Rodney launched the National Diversity Practitioners Institute, a summer intensive for diversity practitioners.  He is also the founder of Diversity in the DMV, a one-day conference for students and educators.  Rodney is a featured writer in the book Diversity in Independent Schools, and he wrote the prologue for the recently released One Teacher in Ten in the New Millennium:  LGBT Educators Speak Out About What’s Gotten Better…And What Hasn’t.About Camille Wiggins:Camille joins Park Tudor from IUPUI, where she was Senior Admissions Counselor.
