In januari verscheen de 2019-versie van Monitoring Leveringszekerheid, het rapport waarin Tennet de leveringszekerheid van elektriciteit in Nederland op de korte, middellange en lange termijn tegen het licht houdt. Ik vraag Ben Voorhorst, lid van de Raad van Bestuur, wat de gevolgen zijn van de snelle toename van zon en wind en de afname van centrale opwekcapaciteit in Nederland. Kun je eindelijk nog wel spreken van ‘Nederland’ en ‘buitenland’?

Without such basic and intrinsically political choices, technical entities like TSOs cannot provide, by their own, efficient and effective solutions enabling the full integration of the European electricity system and a smooth and speedy transition to a low-carbon economy.
