When it comes to reaching out to mentors, young people may feel intimated to approach experienced professionals who are in industries they want to learn more about. Rebecca and I discuss a few techniques that could be used to bridge this gap. You can bring a lot to the table as a young professional. Understand what skills you have, how you can provide value, and always lead with: “how can I help you”, instead of: “what can you do for me”.
