Recently Awarded a Bronze Roar Award for Best Mental Health Advocate, Lisa’s story is one of hope and empowerment.  At 34, after over a decade as an Ambulance Paramedic, Lisa was diagnosed with PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. The toll of her career was compounded by being a dual rape survivor.  As a result of her Lived Experience of both suffering and outgrowing PTSD, Lisa will take you on a journey sharing her spiral down into and pathway out of mental illness. Lisa speaks about how her illnesses took a toll on her family, thoughts of suicide and the important turning points throughout her journey back to wellness.  Lisa will explain how she found her way back and is now grateful for all of her experiences, even the awful ones, the 3 Keys to Outgrowing Trauma, the 7 Elements of Wellness and why she believes everyone can return to wholeness.
