The Runner’s Gambit - In the third episode of ‘Run The Business’ Ant meets with Geert van der Velde, CEO of Chessable who talks to Ant about why he thinks running a business is like running a marathon. As well as the ‘Queen’s Gambit’ effect they also chat about the parallels between chess and business. Before working full-time as a chess company executive, Geert experienced some notable success in the music world as the vocalist of the metalcore band Shai Hulud in the late 90s and early 00s.
