California led the nation in cannabis reform paving the way for the beginning of the Green Rush that is going on right now. A couple who met on the protest trail in the '80's are Mikki Norris and Chris Conrad. Now they have been called the Godparents of California Cannabis Advocacy. The husband and wife team of Chris Conrad and Mikki Norris share multiple awards, recognitions and accomplishments…..they have co-authored books such as Shattered Lives: Portraits From America's Drug War and Human Rights and the US Drug War, curated for cannabis museums in both the US and Amsterdam, and both were Community Action Coordinators for California Prop 215, managing the volunteer signature gathering campaign effort.
