This is The Do It For Yourself Podcast.  Each week I sit down with someone who is doing it for themselves and chasing a dream they just couldn't neglect.  This is often speakers, entrepreneurs, or athletes.  They all share one thing in common, they are overcoming challenges and never giving up.   This week My guest is Steve del Monte. Steve is the owner and race director of DelMo Sports Elite Events.  Steve started his journey as a teacher and beach patroller during the summers.  Mind you this was after he was told he "could never be a teacher".  Steve only took this as motivation and ran with it.  After getting into triathlon and having some success Steve had a crazy idea that he was going to put on one of these events in his hometown of Wilwood NJ.  Little did he know what he was getting himself in to.  In this interview, we dive into the early days of DelMo sports, what it was like for Steve working under his father in the hospitality industry and how he has grown the become one of the ONLY fee licensees in North America for Ironman Triathlon.     This was such a great time to catch up with Steve and I really hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.
