A nurse came up to me and said ‘ I have been working here for 35 years and I’ve never seen so many people in my room.”“My daughter told me that I needed to see a therapist, and I did and I’m so thankful that I did!”“Initially I hid it (my depression) , I didn’t want my family to not see me as the strong woman that I am. I didn’t want them to see me that vulnerable.”Q: What would fitness look like if women founded fitness instead of men?A: The world would be full of FABULOUS fit women. I would say that us as women, we have to have a broader platform for our voice, for our voice of reason and that is so important.God left me here three times...and I think that God left me here for what I am doing, for my purpose now.“We have got to have this platform and I am going to take it as far as I can take it.”“Talk to God and let him be your motivation and the center of your hope.”I was so mad at God and then I realized that he did this for a reason, and this is it. “Stroke doesn't have an age, it doesn't have any cofactors.” I would tell my 11 year old self that you can be anything that you put your mind too, don’t give up.I would tell my 21 year old self that you turned out to be a beautiful young women who other people look up too.
