Why is Damp Building Advocate Sharon Noonan Kramer going to jail rather than be silenced about her cause? This week we will explore the situation of former IAQ Radio guest Sharon Noonan Kramer, who has been found to be in contempt of court and will spend at least five days in jail this February. As part of this weeks show we talk to Sharon and ask her to explain the situation for our listeners. According to Sharon her goal continues to be to remove the false concept from policy; state &amp; federal agencies and physicians' offices that it has been scientifically proven WDB do not cause illness beyond the respiratory system in prior healthy people. This week Dr. Elliot Horner returns to IAQ Radio to help us as we update listeners and continue our discussion of lawsuit filed at the end of 2010 against the USGBC and their LEED program. We had the driving force behind the lawsuit Mr. Henry Gifford on in November to present his reasons for filing the lawsuit and Dr. Horner has agreed to come on and continue the discussion. Dr. Horner is the laboratory director and a principle consultant for Air Quality Sciences. He has a Ph.D. in plant pathology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, an M.S. in mycology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse also a Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology and a LEED AP. EPISODE205 - W. Elliot Horner, PhD, FAAAI, LEED AP -USGBC Lawsuit Update

Dr. Horner is the laboratory director and a principle consultant for Air Quality Sciences. He has a Ph.D. in plant pathology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, an M.S. in mycology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, and a B.A. in botany/comparative literature from the University of North Carolina. After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Horner completed an NIH funded fellowship characterizing fungal allergens at Tulane University School of Medicine before joining the research faculty in the Allergy/Clinical Immunology Section, where he established a bioaerosols and indoor mold research program. He served as the chair (2002) of the Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Committee of the American Industrial Hygiene Association Lab Quality Assurance Program, and served on the Analytical Accreditation Board through 2003. He is a member of ASTM International sub-committee D22.08 on sampling and analysis of mold and sub-committee G03.04 on biological deterioration. Dr. Horner has conducted investigations and complaint resolutions in courthouses, commercial buildings, hospitals, residences, schools and defense manufacturing facilities. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology and a LEED AP.
