Jon Hollis : Republican - For Congress in the 32nd District Texas.

Jon Hollis is a 10-year film &amp; television industry professional and small business owner who has spent his entire life fighting for and serving others. Jon grew up in the drug and gang infested streets of Fresno and Visalia in California’s Central Valley, where he witnessed firsthand how liberal policies turned the once quaint and conservative valley into a hotbed of homelessness, vagrancy, and criminal activity. He watched as family and friends became victims of a broken system, and eventually would face rock bottom.  The 2008 financial crisis hit close to home for Jon and his family. Jon’s mother and father were both laid off and eventually were forced to file for bankruptcy. Jon witnessed firsthand what it is like to have a car repossessed, a home foreclosed on, and to have to navigate the government- run healthcare system during a life changing emergency -- all things that Californians have become far too familiar with under Democrat rule.  Personally knowing the hardships faced by those around him, Jon set out to help his community by starting after school programs for at risk youth in the most crime infested areas of Fresno. This experience would later lead him to mission service in Germany, Mexico, Costa Rica and Ecuador, where he was tasked with building a church, laying irrigation for clean running water, creating a sports outreach program, and touring with a rock band who had dedicated themselves to reaching out to disenfranchised youth. In 2009, Jon set his sights on the most difficult challenge he could find: breaking into the film industry. In just 10 years he has gone from working on small student productions to being a key player behind the camera of some of the biggest shows on television, all while running his own small business. In his years working in TV and Film, Jon has watched as LA has taken many of the same wrong steps the Central Valley once took. Gang violence still persists while drugs, disease, petty crime and homelessness are becoming more rampant than ever before. The city is crumbling all around, from the roads down to the people, and elected officials are doing nothing to slow these negative changes, much less stop them. As was the case growing up in Fresno, Jon Hollis knows he cannot watch and do nothing as his community deteriorates around him.
