She's reached 50 this year and never felt more excited.  Lee has 17 years experience of working in Learning and Development, as an Executive Coach for London Business School, as an adjunct lecturer at Chicago Booth Business School and the University of Edinburgh Business School and she has travelled the globe as a corporate trainer. But that all ended when Covid hit and she took the opportunity to focus all her skills on women. Lee has been interested in women’s leadership for 20 years. She started a UK charity to get women into politics, ran for election to the Scottish Parliament herself for the women’s equality party and wrote her masters thesis and now Doctorate on women’s safety online. Now she is working with midlife women through her new venture Midlife Revolution, to help them embrace the second half of their lives, the most exciting half. In this episode I am speaking with Lee Chalmers about how to find confidence and clarity for midlife women. Lee has been working in learning and development for 16 years, teaching at business schools and working with leadership teams in corporations. Recently she gave herself permission to focus on a group she feels is full of power, skills and ambition but overlooked: Midlife Women. She created a series of online programmes, called Midlife Revolution, to help women in their 40’s and 50’s gain the clarity, confidence and courage to make midlife the most adventurous years of their lives so far. In her 40’s Lee founded a non-for-profit to help women get into politics in the UK and ran for Parliament herself. She aims to finally finish her PhD before she turns 50 this year.
