Singer Kate Hinote is a Detroit-based artist with an incredible voice; she's been performing and recording music for more than a decade, having broken out on the scene in the mid-2000s with the shoegaze duo Ether Aura. Over the last decade, audiences have come to know her as the frontperson for the folk-noir ensemble the Blueflowers, but lately, she formed the Kate Hinote Trio, featuring her longtime Blueflowers bandmate, David Johnson, on guitar and Matthew Parmenter (Discipline and Algebra Mothers) on violin.
