When you're an adult, your worldview is shaped by decades of life. We have experiences from the past that allow us to receive experiences in the present and even help us to shape our future. We have memories to help remind us of times we've overcome, we have relationships to offer us dialogue and a listening ear. But, when you're a young person, a child, how do you see the world? How do you handle situations? What does that experience "feel" like?  Hannah Velasquez is a bright, wondrous, beautiful inside and out soul. She is a writer. Writing has given her an outlet to process. Hannah has experienced life in her young 13 years and she has something to say. I met with Hannah and was so moved by her desire to impact others, to give adults and parents advice about how to help young people understand and move through life. So often we talk at our kids, perhaps we need to listen more.
