In the first weekly episode I speak with Maddy Lawson, business owner of A Slow Adventure. We talk about the meaning of success, how school environments affect your character and struggling with perfection. Maddy is coach, writer and curator of slow living retreats and gatherings. Inspired by nature and the changing seasons, she helps wildhearted creative women bring more meaning and purpose to their work and lives. Maddy walked away from academic achievement and a "proper job" to work in a homeware store, and, then, more recently moved to Hampshire to live and work with her husband on a shepherd's hut site. I find her story so interesting, and we had such a great chat about what actually makes us happy, coming up with our own definitions of success, and the joy of slowing down.
