It is our extreme pleasure to welcome back a friend of show Coach Ashley Xiong-Vang, of GCU. The Tigers are currently on a 7 game win streak and looking very good heading into the NCCAA Division II regional conference. After starting the season on with a 7 game losing streak the Tigers have won 17 of their last 22 games. We spoke with Coach Vang , about what it takes from a coaching perspective to help spark a turn around after a disappointing start. Led by Head Coach CB LONG, The GCU Tigers have been building a strong program over the past few years and the hard work is paying off this season. With a strong team led by players like senior MEGAN SCHOLTENS , sophomores  ASHLEY HOEK and BRE HARRIS, along with break out star MEGAN GEORGE, this team is poised to make a strong run in the regional tournament.

We spoke with Coach Ashley Xiong-Vang of Grace Christian University (GCU) about last year's finish in the National Christian College Athletic Association rankings, GCU's talented young core, what to expect from this year's team, and so much more. Coach Xiong-Vang is going into her second year as the Assistant Coach at Grace and she is incredibly excited about the upcoming season. Last season two freshman led the team in points, rebounds, and blocked shots. That young core, combined with this year's recruiting class, may have Grace Christian on the edge of competing for a shot at the NCCAA title this season.  Coach Xiong-Vang also talks to us about the impact of the USWNT's win in the World Cup will have on the next generation of female athletes.
