After the birth of her second son, Melissa experienced paralyzing anxiety and fear. She could hardly function to take care of herself, let alone her new baby.  Because she had never experienced any mental health conditions prior to this, she was completely caught off guard and felt broken beyond repair.    She finally sought specialized care through a postpartum inpatient program and it was a life-changer for her.  She began to shift her mentality of “Why is this happening to me”, to “this happened, how can I be the best me moving forward”.  She also learned to reframe the obsessive and fear-based “what if” thoughts to a more positive statement that “even if” that bad thing happens, she’ll be able to get through it.   This interview is packed with gold nuggets of wisdom that anyone can use!
