The historic university has been the victim of a deliberate campaign of underfunding, neglect and discrimination for decades. Despite several court suits and Federal government intervention the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has on a bi-partisan basis refused to fund and support Cheyney University which prompted Heeding Cheyney's Call to file a federal lawsuit on October 29, 2014 to seek redress and remedy.
