Freedom House continues to offer a vital service to the Illinois Valley area and beyond.  Princeton Outreach and Facilities Manager Trisha Schafer visited WZOE’s Wake Up Princeton morning show recently.She told host Paul Bomleny that despite the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Freedom House continues to provide all essential services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  She says during the pandemic, the incidence of domestic violence and sexual abuse has increased and more victims than usual have sought refuge at Freedom House.Freedom House is a non-profit organization that serves survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence. Freedom House provides services to adults and children in Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark Counties.  Shafer says Freedom House currently has an opening for a full-time facilities superintendent.Freedom House is located at 400 Elm Place in Princeton. Today on People to People we spoke with Trisha Shafer from Freedom House about the help that Freedom House gets from the Kewanee Area United Way and how that help supports their mission to help people affected by Domestic Abuse.
