María Auxiliadora Gálvez Pérez es una arquitecta y paisajista española que explora desde la danza y el cuerpo nuevas maneras de entender el espacio. Contribuye con una plataforma de somática aplicada a la arquitectura y el paisaje (PSAAP) y es profesora en la  EPS Facultad de Arquitectura (USP CEU). Ella trabaja con en su laboratorio somática. En esta charla nos contó sobre dos proyectos diferentes, uno es una exploración metodológica, y otro un proyecto urbano. La metodología es una etnografía somática, para entender sobre la diversidad a partir de experiencias de movimiento y percepción. 265. Arquitectura y danza (España). Una charla con María Auxiliadora Gálvez Pérez

In Episode 5 of Series 2, Auxiliadora Gálvez explains how flamenco and Feldenkrais first stimulated her embodied approach to architectural training. With her students and collaborators on PSAAP, the Platform of Somatics for Architecture and Landscape, at the San Pablo CEU University in Madrid, she explores and experiments on body aware understandings of how humans and environments relate. Making students experience spatial concepts in their bodies has improved student success and creative output, and is why somatic education is now at the heart of Auxiliadora’s teaching, research and architectural practice.
