After decades of loving meat and loving to cook, he realized that he could cook without the meat and truly spread love and compassion. He was inspired to go vegan by a number of music artists including Dead Prez and by the unhealthy state of America especially within the African American community. After going vegan, he started running 5ks and marathons and then ultramarathons up to 75 miles at a time.He has taught numerous cooking classes as a Food for Life instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) and hosted private pop up vegan dinners within the DC area.
