The Global Impact of AI | AI for Good's Frederic Werner & Neil Sahota | Internet of Things Podcast

Man müsste mal … ein paar Scheiben werfen – am besten auf Körbe!  Frederic Werner ist Wahl-Schweriner. Er kam vor neun Jahren in die Landeshauptstadt. Der Leiter des Landesbüros der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung engagiert sich auch ehrenamtlich in der Stadt. Für sein letztes Vorhaben, einen Golfplatz im Stadtgebiet - haben er und seine Mitstreiter nur vier Jahre gebraucht: ein Discgolfplatz im Sport- und Freizeitpark Neu Zippendorf. Mit einer Art Frisbee-Scheibe ziehen die Golfspieler los. Der Schweriner DISC-Golf-Platz ist ein 9-Loch-Platz. Auf dem Parcours stehen Fangkörbe. In diese Körbe sollen die Scheiben fliegen. Und wenn das klappt, dann rasseln die Metallketten der Körbe laut und scheppernd. Nach Rostock und Greifswald hat nun auch Schwerin seinen DISC-Golf-Platz. Den Trendsport aus Amerika kann man hier auch ohne eigene Scheiben ausüben Im Feuerwehrmuseum um die Ecke liegen Scheiben zum Ausleihen bereit. Die Initiative kam von ihm und dem Tri-Sport-Schwerin e.V. Das Geld für den Bau der Anlage kommt von der Bürgerstiftung, der Sparkassen-Stiftung, der Ehrenamtsstiftung, dem Verfügungsfond „Soziale Stadt“, dem Förderprogramm GKV des Fachdienstes Gesundheit der Stadt Schwerin und aus BUGA-Mitteln des Ortsbeirates Neu-Zippendorf. Träger des Projektes ist der gemeinnützige Verein Bauspielplatz e.V. mit Unterstützung des Schweriner Jugendrings. Der SDS-Schwerin wird die Pflege der Anlage übernehmen. – Und eröffnet ist inzwischen auch. Wie hat er es geschafft hat und wie heute die Stimmung auf dem DISC-Golf-Platz ist, erzählt Frederic Werner im Podcast „Man müsste mal …“ Diese Folge haben wir am 8. März 2022 aufgenommen.
